Special Announcement from Kristen Dailey

March 4, 2024

Dear GlobalWA Community,

Kristen DaileyIt is with mixed emotions that I’ve decided to leave Global Washington as of June 1, 2024. This year marks my 10-year anniversary and I believe it is the right time in my career for me to make this transition.

GlobalWA has a solid foundation, a new strategic plan, amazing staff, a valued conference, and new programs with potential for growth. I love this organization and I want to leave when it is in a position of strength.

Thank you for being part of this unique community and I hope you continue to connect with others in our network to improve lives in low and middle income countries. GlobalWA will continue to provide a strong value proposition and work with you to achieve shared goals.

In June, I will be taking some time to consider my next career steps, but until then, I will continue to contribute all of my energy to leading GlobalWA and preparing the organization for my transition. The GlobalWA board will be leading the transition and has created a Selection Committee to work with a search firm to a find new Executive Director in a timely manner.

I want to give my deepest gratitude to the Global Washington staff, board, members, and all who have been so supportive to build this vibrant community. I am so honored to have been part of this organization.

It is bittersweet to leave a leadership role that has such a good board and staff, but it also means the organization is sustainable and will continue to thrive. I’m excited about Global Washington’s future.

Warmly,

Kristen Dailey

Message from Sara Rogge, Chair of the Board of Global Washington

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I want to first thank Kristen for her incredible service to Global Washington. She will be greatly missed and has made a strong, positive mark on our community.

Over the course of the next few weeks, the board will be gathering input from GlobalWA members and putting together a profile of the new Executive Director and will then begin the search. We are incredibly fortunate to have GoodCitizen to support and implement this search over the next few months. We will share the job announcement in mid to late March.

It is the priority of the board to create a smooth transition and find the best individual to lead GlobalWA into the future. This is an exciting time, and we look forward to welcoming a new leader, while still maintaining our commitment to GlobalWA members and program objectives.

Sincerely,

Sara Rogge
