About You 

As a Director for Partnerships & Development, you will be responsible for managing key partnerships and clients in the private and nonprofit sectors including many Fortune 500 companies and leading international charities. You will have a leadership role within our employee assistance and corporate grant making service offerings and be responsible and accountable for retaining revenue with current partners and increasing revenue by acquiring new partners. The Director will also engage in new product development and represent Global Impact’s other products and services in the marketplace.   

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates: 

  • Ability to effectively build strong relationships across all our different client types including charities, public and private sector entities and provide high touch customer service. 
  • Proven ability to make a compelling case for social impact investments to business minded leaders. 
  • A leader who can effectively collaborate on strategy and execute specific projects. 
  • Engagement with donors and ability to represent Global Impact and our charity partners at fundraising events, including speaking engagements and charity fairs.    
  • Polished oral and written communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with many different audiences.   
  • Strong developmental strategies and approaches to increase engagement of campaigns and funders.   
  • Takes initiative for conceptualizing special projects and new services that may enhance client satisfaction, deliver new products, and support an emerging need in the market.   
  • Cultivation of business development efforts on assigned prospects to secure new private sector engagements and business.  
  • Ability to manage a direct report.  

Qualifying for this role means you have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in international relations, public administration, communications or business management with7+ years of experience in a position with a high-level of public exposure such as fundraising, marketing, account management /sales, relationship management, or partnership development. Experience within corporate philanthropy, corporate giving or employee benefit programs preferred. 

You can demonstrate strong customer service skills with attention to detail while meeting deadlines. You can effectively manage and prioritize tasks while working independently in a fast-paced environment. You can take initiative and ownership for a wide range of responsibilities all while maintaining good communication skills. Knowledge of CSR, shared value, or relevant business involvement in global development and an understanding of global development issues is a plus.

Working at Global Impact   

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for more than one year. Visa sponsorship is not available. This is a full-time position that can be fully remote. Local candidates to our Alexandria, VA headquarters office come into the office 1-2 days per week. Priority given to candidates in key markets including the Washington DC, New York City area, Seattle/Pacific Northwest, and San Francisco/Southern California. COVID-19 vaccination is required.

The salary range is $83,000 – $88,000K depending on the experience you have.  The internal title of this role is Director, Campaign Partnerships.
