State of the Sector: Final Mile Meeting with Kyle House

Event Description

With the immense and immediate crisis unfolding for the US foreign assistance community, it would be remiss not to spend our time now to continue to gain better understanding of the applications of the Presidential executive orders and how we can best engage to find a return to the bipartisan support to the soft diplomacy work that has helped fund our efforts in the past. Most of us have been impacted by funding freezes, stop work orders, and requirements to return workers deployed overseas. Most have also likely spent time with legal counsel just to get paid for work performed. To give a well-rounded perspective of the current environment’s challenges, Global Washington and Logenix International are very grateful to welcome Porter DeLaney of Kyle House to present for us on Thursday, March 13th.

Porter Kyle Delaney Founding Partner

Kyle House has been an advocate for NGOs and USAID contractors since their inception and has the pulse of DC politics better than any organization I know. Porter has been instrumental in helping build constituencies for foreign assistance programs by getting buy in from both sides of the aisle in congress. We look forward to hearing his insight to the current congress and his advice on how to engage and advocate the vital nature of our work and how we can help build a constituency that will be resilient to changes at the White House.
