BACKGROUND
Global Partnerships (GP) is an impact-first investment fund manager dedicated to expanding opportunity for people living in poverty. Impact-first investing means investing in a way that seeks the greatest possible social impact, while seeking to preserve capital with a modest financial return for investors. GP believes that impact-first investing has an essential role to play in advancing sustainable solutions to poverty for millions of people worldwide.
GP creates and manages impact-first investment funds that make loans and early-stage investments in social enterprises serving people living in poverty, primarily in Latin America and Africa. The GP team is comprised of mission-driven, dedicated, high-performing colleagues working primarily from offices in Seattle, Washington (USA), Bogotá, Colombia, and Nairobi, Kenya. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Investment Operations Intern will work closely with the investment operations team gaining hands-on experience in operational processes and legal documentation related to GP’s impact investments.
Beyond core responsibilities, the intern will have the opportunity to independently develop automation procedures to streamline and enhance GP’s operational processes, researching and implementing artificial intelligence tools. Additionally, they will gain substantive insight into international impact investing, exploring how capital is deployed to social enterprises that deliver market-based products and services that empower people to earn a living and improve their lives.
This role is well-suited for college students eager to apply analytical and technical skills to optimize workflows related to operational and legal functions in a nonprofit setting, all while gaining valuable exposure to the landscape of impact investing.
This is a part-time summer internship (20 hours per week) commencing in June 2025 based in our headquarter office in Seattle, Washington.
Primary Responsibilities
- Help the investment operations team streamline its operations using AI and automation tools. For example, assist our team in automating various tasks related to document management and data collection.
- Support the VP, Investor Operations in performing KYC (Know Your Customer) checks to ensure compliance with investor and organization policies.
- Contribute to documenting payment schedules of loans to social enterprises.
- Enhance the accuracy and reliability of data in Salesforce related to GP’s loans in Africa and Latin America.
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic documents to improve accessibility and efficiency of document retrieval.
- Assist in compiling required documentation to be submitted to relevant regulatory authorities.
- Support other finance and operations team needs.
Qualifications:
- Motivated and tech-savvy

- A desire to make an impact in an organization working to expand opportunities for people living in poverty
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic proficiency in Salesforce is preferred
- Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Box.com)
- Native or bilingual proficiency in English required; some Spanish proficiency desired
- Must have the ability to work legally in the United States without visa sponsorship

The pay rate for this position is $25 per hour.
