Global Partnerships (GP) is an impact-first fund manager dedicated to expanding opportunity for people living in poverty. GP creates and manages impact-first investment funds that make loans and early-stage investments in social enterprises serving people living in poverty, primarily in Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa. The GP team is comprised of mission-driven, dedicated, high-performing colleagues working primarily from offices in Seattle, Washington (USA), Bogotá, Colombia, and Nairobi, Kenya. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Partnerships seeks an enterprising and strategic Director of Content to lead GP’s communications and content marketing efforts. This is a newly created role, designed to harness results, learnings, and insights to highlight GP’s experience, deepen engagement with key stakeholders, and amplify the category of impact-first investing. 

The Director of Content will serve as a strategic leader within the Capital and Impact Team (CIT), reporting to the Chief Capital and Impact Officer. They will support GP Executives in honing and elevating the organization’s brand, narrative, and position in the market. This role will work closely with colleagues to understand donor, investor, and investee segments and will collaborate across teams – working with investor relations, impact, investment, and operations teams to identify, develop, and distribute clear, compelling, and compliant content that furthers the organization’s strategic objectives.

A key focus of this role will be to shape, launch, and manage a content and communications strategy that will tap GP’s operational disciplines, portfolio, and fund management experience to produce rigorous, actionable, and inspiring content that solidifies GP’s position as a market leader, expands/strengthens the circle of GP support, and amplifies the category of impact-first investing.

This role will be responsible for the following:

Content Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and deliver a cohesive content plan that supports GP’s brand and mission, drives engagement across segments, and advances strategic objectives.
  • Design campaigns and content that will enable GP leadership to cultivate and nurture meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including donors, investors, investees, category champions and industry enablers.
  • Establish and manage editorial calendars, content/storytelling priorities, and multichannel distribution plans, including speaking opportunities/engagements for GP leadership.

Content Creation and Oversight

  • Write, edit, and manage high-quality, compelling, and compliant content including web, print, social media, video, email, and presentations.
  • Ensure consistent tone, voice, and brand alignment across all materials and platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate key results, learnings, and insights; translate complex work into accessible, actionable, and inspiring narratives.

Communications Management 

  • Oversee the work of writers, designers, and other content contributors (in-house and external).
  • Manage vendor relationships, including freelance creatives, design, and content agencies, to deliver timely and impactful assets within budget.
  • Plan content distribution and identify strategic amplification opportunities.

Audience Engagement and Performance Analytics

  • Define KPIs and measure content performance using data and audience insights to inform improvements.
  • Continuously optimize strategies based on learning and evolving trends in content and digital communications.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience in content strategy, digital communications, journalism, or marketing; expertise in global development, impact investing, and/or finance preferred
  • 3+ years of experience leading content strategies and managing editorial workflows and creative processes
  • Strong track record of developing cross-channel content (digital, print, video, etc.) aligned to brand and mission
  • Proficiency in content management systems, SEO best practices, and analytics tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools required
  • Business language fluency in English required; Spanish or French a plus
  • Ability to reside and work legally in the United States for Global Partnerships without visa sponsorship

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $110,000 per year.
