Position Summary: 
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern or consultant to assist with research and data analysis related to the global development sector in Washington State to assist in Global Washington’s strategic planning process. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data collection, analysis, business modeling and presentation while contributing to meaningful projects that align with Global Washington’s mission. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct research to determine the addressable market for the global development sector in Washington State (and broader region), including identifying key organizations, stakeholders, and opportunities for growth. 
  • Carry out research related to similar membership organizations in the US, their membership eligibility and business models. 
  • Support the development of membership business model scenarios. 
  • Analyze Global Washington membership data to uncover trends, engagement metrics, and areas for improvement. 
  • Develop and present reports, visualizations, and actionable insights to the Global Washington team. 
  • Support membership outreach and engagement efforts by providing data-driven recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and relevance. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong data analysis skills, including proficiency in tools such as Excel and generative AI, and familiarity with CRM databases  
  • Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present findings effectively. 
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. 
  • Interest in global development, social impact, or nonprofit management.
