Volunteers and Interns

Volunteers power much of Global Washington’s work. They bring strong skills, great commitment and energy to our organization. We welcome their contributions and and gratefully acknowledge the value that they bring to our work.

Unpaid internships and volunteer opportunities are available to university students and interested individuals to work for Global Washington.To apply for an internship or volunteer position please email your resume and the volunteer application to info@globalwa.org with “Intern/Volunteer” in the subject line.

  • Writing and editing Global Washington materials for newsletters and blogs
  • Social Networking
  • Event planning: planning, implementing, staffing and blogging at events
  • Data Entry
  • Policy Research and upkeep of the Legislative index
  • Upkeep of Global Washington’s online career center

Time Commitment:
Hours: A minimum of 10 hours per week
Duration: A minimum of 1 Academic Quarter or 3 months commitment

Requirements:
Interns/volunteers are expected to meet weekly with Global Washington staff to provide progress updates.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of and interest in global development issues; experience in research and data collection; high-level professional and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong writing skills.
