Description

Amazing mission, awesome job, great people

Landesa helps the world’s poorest people gain land rights; reducing poverty and conflict, increasing economic activity, empowering women, strengthening food security, and improving environmental stewardship. It’s a big mission and it takes a team of talented, committed people to make it happen.

We’re looking for a talented Executive Assistant to support our Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Advocacy & Communications, while managing our Washington, D.C. office location.

Does this describe you?

You can handle executive support tasks with professionalism and polish. Whether it’s making global travel arrangements, taking Board meeting minutes, filing expense reports (Concur), editing documents or fielding calls, you’ve got it covered.
Your knowledge of standard software programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook is on point and you have a knack for picking up new technologies.
You’re comfortable serving as point-person for our large Board of Directors.
You’re action oriented – you can organize and prioritize with a “get stuff done” attitude.
You have fantastic interpersonal skills and can effectively interact with a diverse blend of personalities and people.
You can keep a small office in great shape – from ensuring we have needed supplies, to making sure our office systems are humming, to liaising with our landlord.
You can lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
People describe you as dependable, responsible, productive, and energetic.
While you won’t need to often, you can occasionally travel to attend important meetings in our Seattle-based corporate office and other locations.
You are able to work in the United States for any employer for an unlimited period of time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and without a high level of direct supervision will support success in this position. A Bachelors’ or undergraduate degree and at least 2 years’ experience supporting senior leaders is preferred.

Equal employment opportunity is a fundamental principle at Landesa. Landesa is committed to a work environment in which relationships are characterized by dignity, courtesy and respect. We are committed to nondiscrimination in all business operations.
