“A small gathering on the Seattle waterfront Wednesday evening marked the official launch of an organization called Global Washington…The project, led by Seattle philanthropist and business leader Bill Clapp, is intended to bring synergy and collaborative power to the hundreds of local nonprofit organizations, academic programs or charitable business enterprises broadly devoted to fighting worldwide poverty, disease, injustice and other forms of global inequity.”
