Design for Life: Activating Regeneration w/ the Sustainable Design Project
Join Intentional Futures for a lively, hands-on workshop where you’ll roll up your sleeves and reimagine the systems that shape our world. Using iF’s Regenerative Design Card Deck, you’ll explore how regenerative principles can inform practical, cross-sector strategies for transformation.
This session blends learning and collaborative brainstorming. You’ll begin with an introduction to regenerative design: what it is, why it matters, and how organizations across finance, technology, hospitality, and agriculture are applying it.
In small, facilitated breakout groups, you’ll then dive into one of three domains: Regenerative Finance, Regenerative Governance, and Regenerative Community.
No background in regeneration required. Come ready to connect, create, and celebrate the power of regenerative thinking!
When: July 18, 3pm – 5:30pm
Where: Intentional Futures Office
Climate Leadership in the Current Moment
As abrupt changes in federal funding push states and other countries to recalibrate their policies, what role do PNW actors play in sustaining the climate work? What work is needed for us to build on progress we’ve made here in the PNW? And what can YOU do to help sustain that work?
In partnership with Microsoft, University of Washington Foster School of Business, and Buerk Center for Entrepreneurship.
When: July 18, 8:30am – 12pm
Where: UW Kane Hall
Harvesting Solutions: From Food Waste to Food Justice
Join the Global Impact Collective for an exciting panel and hands-on ideation session about tackling food waste and food justice in Washington! The “Use Food Well Washington Plan” is Washington’s roadmap to reduce food waste by 50% by 2030, and one of the main strategies is through food rescue.
You’ll hear from an expert panel on the challenges of connecting food waste generators (grocers, farms, etc.) with hunger relief organizations, as well as some of the opportunities and solutions that are being developed.
Following a short panel discussion, they will transition to a rapid ideation session. Attendees will participate in a collaborative activity to generate ideas for how to address these critical food security challenges.
