Waldron’s retained executive search practice exclusively recruits senior leadership talent for private and corporate philanthropies, NGOs, nonprofits, and social enterprises both internationally and across the United States. The Associate Role
As an essential member of Waldron’s Search team, you play an integral role in ensuring high-quality service is delivered to Waldron clients. The Associate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial, and goal-oriented environment. You are seeking an opportunity to develop and refine your project management skills, engage in team work and gain an in-depth understanding of the social sector landscape locally, nationally and internationally.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the search team to develop research strategies to identify candidates for a portfolio of searches, conduct internet research to identify additional potential candidates and sources; and organize data and research findings.
Manage processes related to visibility and outreach to candidates, such as crafting position postings for external websites (including LinkedIn), writing email and social media messages, managing internal processes for outreach to potential candidates, and ensuring data integrity of our database to reflect all candidate interaction.
Provide general operational and administrative support to individual searches, such as setting up searches in databases, preparing digital and paper materials for clients and candidates, and tracking analytics.
Administrative tasks include scheduling interviews, meetings, and travel with clients and candidates; event organization; preparing presentation materials; and documenting processes and activities.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Our ideal Associate has a successful track record of being an effective team player and enjoys using data and technology to solve problems. You are organized and excel at managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy, urgency, and flexibility in the face of changing project needs.
An excellent communicator with superior interpersonal skills, you are comfortable interacting with clients and candidates via email, phone, and in-person to discuss the particulars of a search. You are friendly, proactive, approachable, professional, diligent, detail-oriented, and know how to set a high personal performance bar and meet it.
One year of relevant professional experience is required. Waldron hires people who are passionate about the objective of placing the right candidate in the right role and about supporting the mission-driven work of the organizations we serve.
The selected candidate will join Waldron’s Seattle office and must have the agility to thrive in an evolving work environment as well as to collaborate with colleagues in our Portland and San Francisco offices.
