Women’s Enterprises International
Equipping Women, Empowering Change, Overcoming Poverty

Women’s Enterprises International (WEI) reaches across cultures to transform lives and communities through partnership with women’s groups; empowering and equipping them to break the cycle of poverty and live into their God given potential.

WEI was founded in 2000 by two women - an American and a Kenyan - with a similar desire to empower women to overcome poverty. Since its beginnings, WEI has pioneered an innovative, sustainable development model built on group-based micro-savings, matching grants and partnership that has directed more than $2 million to programs in Kenya, Guatemala, Benin, Bolivia and Indonesia and has improved thousands of lives.
We are motivated by sharing the love of Christ through long-term partnerships and practical, grass-roots development initiatives that equip women to reach economic sustainability, access clean water, and send their children to school.
