Guest speaker: Andy Dwonch, Senior Director for Social Innovations, Mercy Corps

Based in Seattle, Andy is the Senior Director for Social Innovations at Mercy Corps. He focuses on the expansion of mobile technology enabled programs in the Middle East region, and the launch of new social innovations and large scale programs for Mercy Corps around the world. From 2006-2010, Andy served as Mission Director for Mercy Corps in Palestine and Israel, providing strategic vision for design and managerial oversight of implementation of humanitarian relief and development programs, staff and operations. Andy’s international relief and development career spans eleven years and six countries in the Balkans and Middle East, serving in civil engineering roles for four years in Albania and Serbia, and later moving on to senior management positions in Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine/Israel.
