To join Global Washington you must have an office or staff in the state of Washington and be engaged in activities (or provide technical assistance to organizations that have activities) dedicated to improving the economic, social and/or environmental conditions of the world’s poor in developing countries.

Global Washington is a broad-based membership association that promotes and supports the global development sector in the state of Washington. We convene, strengthen, and advocate across key global development issues, generating new opportunities for growth for our members. We are a hub for the global development sector in the states of Washington and give our members the opportunity:
- To gain more visibility
- To connect with over 150 like-minded organizations working in Global Education, Global Health,
Environmental Sustainability and Poverty Alleviation. - To access multitude of useful resources and capacity building trainings.
- To join our advocacy work for collective impact.
Members must have an office or staff in the state of Washington, must have projects in the developing world (relief or aid), and/or be providing technical assistance to organizations that have projects in the developing world.
Choose from five membership levels, based on your organization’s size, programming needs and level of desired investment in Global Washington.
- Individual Membership: $350
- Advocate: $350
- Supporting: $750
- Leadership: $1,500
- Champion: $5,000
- Giving Circle: $10,000

IMPORTANT NOTE:
As of September 1st, 2011, our membership levels have changed.
Members who joined or renewed before September 1st, 2011 were automatically classified into the new category that most closely met or exceeded their current benefit level. (You will receive information about this in September). This level will apply for the remainder of their membership year. When it comes time for their next renewal, we encourage members to examine the prices and benefits and select the new level that best meets their needs.
Background: After careful evaluation of our membership structure, our board of directors approved the change in our levels and benefits. The main reasons include simplification of the membership structure with just 5 levels for everyone. We are focusing on the added value of membership by making the benefits significant, appropriate, and valuable so all members get the most out of their membership. And finally we are working towards making Global Washington sustainable, and our membership dues need to give us the ability to support and to grow the organization and to continue offering quality programming to our members.
