Seasonal Fulfillment Assistant

Attention! This job posting is over 14 days old and might already be filled.

Founded in 1981, Snow Leopard Trust (SLT) is the oldest and largest organization focused on the conservation of snow leopards and their high mountain ecosystems. SLT is a leader in community-based conservation and one of our flagship programs is Snow Leopard Enterprises (SLE).

The SLE program supports rural women in Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, India, and Pakistan to make beautiful handmade products from the raw wool of their livestock – intricate felt rugs, hot pads, ornaments, pet toys and more. SLT purchases these products at mutually agreed upon prices, and sells them to supporters around the world through our online store and a network of partners. The revenues from these sales are used to reduce poverty, empower women, and promote local conservation action.

In addition to our handmade items, we have logo products which are sold to retail and wholesale customers all over the world.

All order fulfillment is done in-house by our Program Specialist. November, December, and January are the busiest fulfillment months – we are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented part-time seasonal assistant to assist our Program Specialist with many steps of the fulfillment process, including but not limited to:

·        Choosing items for orders

·        Packing and weighing orders

·        Tagging new products

Preferred traits/skills

·        Positive attitude and sense of humor

·        Detail-oriented, able to process many orders without error

·        Ability to work on your feet and easily lift 30 pounds

·        Flexibility, ability to shift priorities as needed

·        Interest in/passion for conservation, non-profit work, or community development is a huge plus

We are looking for someone to help us for 10 hour/week during the workweek (Monday-Friday). We are happy to craft a flexible schedule for this position, but we require a seasonal fulfillment assistant who can keep a consistent schedule throughout the duration of the internship.
