Program Associate


MOi is an international, nonprofit organization committed to helping adults and children living with physical disabilities in low- and middle-income countries, to live more independent, productive lives. We strengthen the capacity of health systems and service providers to deliver prosthetic and orthotic services, physical rehabilitation, orthopedic surgeries and the treatment of children with Clubfoot. By offering training and facilitating the in-country production of prosthetics and orthotics, we ensure the long-term sustainability of our innovative approach to care.

MOi works in the lowest resource health settings in the world (including but not limited to) Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sierra Leone, Haiti and soon we are launching in Senegal. We have empowered more than 100,000 people (30,000 directly) to walk, providing them with not just mobility, but hope for a more economically active future and a life with greater social inclusion.

Position Summary
MOi is looking for a team member to support program activities to ensure the smooth functioning and effectiveness of our global programs. This full-time role of Program Associate will provide direct assistance to the Executive Director, Director of Emerging Programs, and the Senior Program Officer, and will be heavily focused on our new Mobility Online Resource and Training Hub Pilot Project (eLearning), on monitoring and evaluation and in developing program resources.

Position Description
Monitoring and Evaluation (25%)
– With headquarter and country teams re-assess current monitoring and evaluation system and key performance indicators
– Assist with monitoring and evaluation activities including creation of tools, site visits, and research
– Ensure program data is collected and reported accurately by in-country teams
– Track data needed, and write draft narrative for written and PowerPoint reports to donors
– Provide regular data feedback to country teams
– Assist with the CommCare mobile data collection and Tableau dashboard
– Analyze data using excel, tableau, or other data analysis tools
– Assist senior staff in conducting program evaluations and research

General Program support (25%)
– Assist Senior Program Officer and Director of Emerging Programs with day-to-day activities
– Take part in program planning, and setting goals and objectives
– Collect patient stories and complete in country program activities as needed
– Track, create, and deliver donor reports
– Provide technical support to head quarter and program teams

Project management of the Mobility Training and Resource Hub Pilot Project (50%)
– Assist senior staff with content production and e-learning requirements
– Act as liaison with external technology consultant, and website interface for the chosen eLearning platform
– Track and monitor budget, timeline, and activities
– Prepare donor reports

Education Qualifications:
– Bachelors’ degree required
– Advanced degree (or candidate for an advanced degree) in Public Health, Public administration, implementation science, or related fields preferred (or the equivalent in experience)

Experience Qualifications:
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, program support with NGO
– Knowledge of international development, health systems strengthening
– Proven ability to work across cultures and in low resource settings
– Demonstrated ability to write reports
– Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel a must)
– Familiarity with CommCare or other mobile data collection tools
– Familiarity with and keen interest of website or app development
– Desire to learn (or experience with) tableau or similar data visualization software highly desired
– Proficiency in French is a plus and highly desired
– Experience living and working in sub-Saharan Africa highly desired
