Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and the Hawaiian Islands (PPGNHI) is seeking to fill the position of Chief Learning Officer (CLO).

This is a full-time position.

The Chief Learning Officer oversees the formulation of the vision, mission and goals of the department &  participates in developing agency professional, leadership and staff training goals. The role is responsible for agency organizational development initiatives related to organizational culture and values; oversees educational programs in all catchment areas; develops innovative programs and systems to deliver professional development to internal staff and external partners.

Requirements for the position:

MA/MS in related field required, Ph.D. preferred

Minimum of ten years of experience in teaching/training

Minimum of seven years of leadership/management experience

Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction

Major responsibilities:

Partners closely with other strategy team members to make decisions and lead initiatives that ensure that PPGNHI thrives and provides national leadership and innovation

Initiates, supports and promotes organizational effectiveness efforts including ones related to leadership development, equity and inclusion, customer service and internal communication strategies.

Creates and implements initiatives related to organizational culture and organizational values

Leads organizational strategic planning efforts, including reporting and accountability

Ensures that Education, Training and Organizational Effectiveness, Equity and Inclusion and Global Programs strategic plans, visions and goals are in alignment with that of the overall organization and that goals and strategies are implemented successfully

Oversees the Peer Education Institute (PEI) to ensure that the Teen Council Program is implemented with fidelity across the country

Works with Education leadership to ensure that all outreach programs in the PPGNHI area related to Teen Council, Family Programs and Community Education are of the highest quality, pedagogically sound and culturally relevant.

Works with the VP of Development to create strategy related to grants, foundations and donors to ensure adequate funding for Education programs

Participates in national training events, presents leadership, training and education sessions at regional and national conferences, participates in professional organizations related to Education, Training and Organizational Effectiveness.

Maintains a working knowledge of literature related to the fields of Learning and Organizational Effectiveness, Capacity Building and Equity and Inclusion.

Travel:

Occasional travel throughout the region and nationally.

Supervises VP of Organizational Effectiveness, Director of Education, VP of Education, VP of Equity and Global Programs
