Global Washington to Host 2017 Annual Conference “Renewing Global Leadership” on November 29 in Seattle

Speakers include world-class leaders of Washington state-based humanitarian aid organizations, businesses, foundations, and academic institutions

SEATTLE – Global Washington (GlobalWA), the leading association in Washington state that connects companies and nonprofits to improve people’s lives in developing countries, will hold its annual conference, “Renewing Global Leadership,” on November 29, 2017, at Seattle’s Bell Harbor Conference Center.

“We are excited to welcome so many leaders from the business, nonprofit and government sectors here in Washington state and from around the world,” said Kristen Dailey, executive director of Global Washington “As always, our aim is to bring the global development community together to discuss the most relevant issues of our time, and to assess how effective leadership at all levels improves living standards in developing countries.”

The one-day conference is packed with peer-learning opportunities, Fast Pitch presentations, and provocative speakers. Featured speakers at this year’s conference include:

Breakout sessions will feature local and international experts discussing, among other things, preparedness for combating epidemics, innovative solutions to advance social good, empowering the next generation of global leaders, philanthropic “big bets,” and the positive role corporations can play in responding to humanitarian crises and other global challenges.

The GlobalWA conference is expected to draw over 400 global development practitioners, business executives, corporate social responsibility leaders, academic researchers, philanthropists and others.
